Summary: The Plane Truth foe Golfers Master Class
Comment: I have read /seen Jim Hardy's first book and his videos. This book ties it all together. I highly recomend it

Summary: Must read before reading other instruction manual
Comment: The key piece of information in this book and its predecessor is that there are two different types of swings. Most pull hooks and slices -- problems most non-pros face -- are caused in no small part by backswing and throughswing that don't match. This book shows how to recognize your propensity for one and make sure you have matching parts. Identifying your own preferred swing plane will make it much easier to pick which tip you should pay attention to and which you should ignore as you look at other golf instructions. The first book is more analytical (if that's how you think) this one has more drills and visuals and easier to follow for those who prefer to understand by doing rather than reading.
The key really is matching the back and through swings. And this book does not go far enough by focusing only on the two extremes. Tiger's new swing, for example, is best described as a hybrid between one and two planar swings. And he has had to work hard to make sure they match. Everyone rembers the era of pushes and pulls after moving to Hank Haney. Followers of stack and tilt might first see that as a two plane swing, but look carefully -- the stack and tilt takes away any lateral movement and is really a one-plane swing done in a way that is dramatically different from what is described in this book.
The golf swing is one of the great unsolvable mysteries of mankind. This book or its predecessor will show you a path to recognition but there are more answers than can ever be covered by a book. That said, Jim Hardy has at least highlighted how to recognize whether your backswing and throughswing match. That is a valuable start for a lifelong quest.

Summary: Better than first Book
Comment: This book is better than the first book. In fact, you could easily skip the first book, The Plane Truth, and get all the information by just reading this book.

Summary: An Extended Explanation of the One and Two Plane Golf Swing
Comment: This is Jim Hardy's second book on the one and two plane golf swings. It goes into more detail and adds a few more golf practice drills. Through much hard work and research, Jim Hardy HAS found the "Rosetta Stone" of the golf swing. His analytical but easy approach is by far the best golf video and book series that I have ever seen. It explains and packages the contradictory golf instructional information that we have all been getting throughout the years. This video series is jam-packed full of instruction; there is no advertising here. I only wish that this was available long ago. This will befit ALL golfers, including my eight year old son. The differences between the one and two plane swings will be the main teaching aid for years to come. The whole DVD set is well organized and through; Jim Hardy has found the answer to many of our problems. Thank you Jim!

Summary: An excellent follow up to the first book!
Comment: I have found Master Class to be an excellent follow up to the first book, The Plane Truth for Golfers. The first book lays the foundation for the two different types of golf swings, and Master Class takes you farther into the "how to's" of performing each swing. There are many more pictures in this second book demonstrating the necessary positions, and much information on the various faults for each swing and drills for how to correct them. Those that say that this book is repetitive information from the first book obviously have not read both books in detail. If you go to get a golf lesson, you don't get all of the information in the first or second lesson. That's the beauty of Mr. Hardy's teachings. He gives it to you in the proper sequence for learning it. His DVD's are excellent additions to the book that offer much more for the visual learner and also give you a glimpse into the genuine character of Mr. Hardy. There is no need for me to read any other instruction and my golf game is improving. So will yours.
